What are chakras?
In Sanskrit, Chakra translates to wheel or circle, and it originates from the ancient Indian yoga system. Chakras are best described as energy centers located vertically along the spine. In our physical body, there are seven major chakras. Each chakra rotates at different speeds, which determines their frequency and color.
Our physical bodies are comprised of cells, which are composed of atoms. Atoms are fundamental pieces of matter, made of energy – we are pure energy. Now, think of your body as an energetic vessel of consciousness.
Imbalance within the chakras could be because of trauma or circumstances out of our control that we encountered as a child at the time of the chakra development. We all unconsciously carry some form of baggage from our childhood experiences into adulthood.
